Ways to Start a Dot
Starting a Dot is quick and flexible. You can create a visual note or capture a specific part of your screen to share ideas, feedback, or issues and collaborate more effectively.
1. 📸 How to Take a Screenshot
📥 Open the quick capture bar. Make your cursor to the end of the page anytime to capture.
📸 You can also create a Dot by taking a quick screenshot directly from your workspace.
⌨️ You can use ALT + S for a quicker way to do it.
2. ✂️ Click and Crop
📸 Opens the quick capture bar. Select the option of capture. In this case the third button.
🔲 You can even adjust the selection afterward to make it fit perfectly.

3. 🖱️↔️ Drag and Start Collaborating
📎⬆️ Grab a file from your desktop or any folder and drop it directly onto your Dot wall.
✅ As soon as you release the file, DOT will automatically create a new Dot for you.
📤 It’s the fastest way to bring your visuals into DOT without opening the capture bar—just drag, drop, and you're ready to collaborate.
